Portage Man Arrested for Child Exploitation Following Indiana State Police Investigation

Portage- A 23-year-old Portage man was arrested Wednesday following an Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigation into suspected child exploitation materials traced to his home, authorities said.

According to Indiana State Police Lowell Post, Anthony J. Davis, 23, was taken into custody on October 29, 2025, in the 6400 block of Hannah Drive in Portage. The arrest followed a detailed investigation after ISP received multiple Cyber Tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) involving electronic devices and cloud storage accounts linked to Davis’s residence.

Detectives with the ICAC Task Force obtained and served multiple subpoenas and search warrants, leading to a search of the home. During that operation, several electronic devices were seized, and at least one was confirmed to contain child sexual abuse material (CSAM), police said.

Davis was transported to the Porter County Jail, where he was preliminarily booked on a Level 5 Felony charge of Child Exploitation. ISP officials said additional charges may be filed pending review by the Porter County Prosecutor’s Office.

The investigation was conducted by the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force with assistance from the ISP Criminal Investigations Division, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Portage Police Department.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
