Power Outage Knocks Out Multiple Communities
NIPSCO has confirmed an outage at Green Acre Substation that is causing a power interruption across multiple communities, a Nipsco Spokesman told RNS. Crews are on site and working to restore electric service as soon as possible.
A post from Kankakee Valley REMC said, approximately 7,000 KV REMC member-consumers in the Kouts, Lakes of the Four Seasons, Winfield, Hebron, and surrounding areas are experiencing a power outage due to an interruption of the transmission feed to those area substations.
NIPSCO & REMC appreciate the customers patience while they work safely and quickly to resolve this interruption in service.
