Pursuit Crash Will Cause 80/94 Closures & Traffic Issues Monday Morning
An early morning police pursuit, around 4am, originating in Illinois then went through Dyer brought police on a chase through Gary before jumping onto 80/94 from Grant St. The suspects headed Westbound in the Eastbound lanes before crashing near the State Line in what reports are a head on crash. Expect long delays in the Eastbound lanes on 80/94 near the state line. Illinois State Police will be handling this multi vehicle crash.
UPDATE – Double Fatal Crash Expect Long Delays. All eastbound lanes on Interstate 80 at Burnham Ave. are closed for a traffic crash investigation. All eastbound traffic is being diverted to 394
The public is asked to seek an alternate route and avoid the area.
