Schererville Police Respond To Crash & Shots Fired Monday Night
On September 8, 2025 at approximately 11:27 PM, Schererville Police were dispatched to Indianapolis Blvd & Woodhollow Dr for vehicles chasing and crashing into each other, according to Schererville Police.
Officers were then advised that shots were fired in the area. A Schererville Officer was in the area and immediately took a subject into custody, police said. One subject involved was transported to a local hospital for non life threatening injuries.
Officers were also advised that one of the vehicles in this incident was just reported stolen from Chicago. Schererville Detectives are currently working with Chicago Detectives on this case. This was an isolated incident with no further threat to the community.
