Porter County:
ALL Porter County schools will exercise an option to conduct eLearning starting March 16, 2020, through April 10, 2020.
LaPorte County:
All Michigan City Area Schools will be closed for an extended period of eLearning beginning Monday, March 16 through Monday, April 13. Schools will re-open for students on Tuesday, April 14. All extracurricular meetings, athletic practices, fundraisers, and other events are canceled. On Monday, March 16, all school buildings will be open during regular operating hours for parents who need to retrieve student medications.
MSD of New Durham Township (Westville) will be closed beginning Monday, March 16, through at least April 13, 2020. Spring Break will still take place as scheduled from April 6-10, and we hope to return to school on April 14, following our scheduled eLearning day on April 13.
All LaPorte Catholic Churches’ Religious Education Classes have been canceled from March 14-April 3

Lake County:
Merrillville Community School Corporation will be closed starting Monday, March 16, 2020, through Friday, April 10, 2020.
Crown Point Community Schools will be closed starting Monday, March 16, 2020 through Friday, April 10, 2020. In addition, before and after school care at all elementary schools will be closed and all co- and extra-curricular activities, practices, games, and performances are canceled until further notice. Breakfast and lunch can be picked by qualified free/reduced lunch students March 16 – 20 and March 30 – April 9 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at any of these school locations: Crown Point High School, Jerry Ross Elementary School, MacArthur Elementary School, or Timothy Ball Elementary School.
All Lake Station Community Schools will be CLOSED to students for the next four weeks beginning Monday, March 16th. Our tentative return date is Tuesday, April 14th. Grab & Go Lunches will be provided at LS Edison Jr / Sr High School
School Town of Highland will be closed starting Monday, March 16, 2020 through Friday, April 10, 2020.
Griffith Public Schools will be closed effective Monday, March 16,2020 and back Monday, April 13, 2020.
School City of Whiting schools will be closed from Monday, March 16, 2020 to Friday, April 10, 2020.
Munster Schools All Schools and Activities Closed/Cancelled Beginning Monday March 16th with a tentative return date of Monday April 13th
Hanover Community School Corporation will be closed starting Monday, March 16, 2020 through Friday, April 10, 2020.
All School City of East Chicago Schools will be closed Monday, March 16 through Friday, April 10.
River Forest School Corporation will be closed starting Monday, March 16 through Friday, April 10.
School City of Hammond is proactively closing schools and calling eLearning days in an effort to mitigate the impact of the virus on our community. March 16 – April 6
School City of Hobart will be closed starting March 16, 2020, through April 10, 2020
All Lake Central Schools for the next 4 weeks beginning on Monday, March 16.
Tri-Creek schools will be closed from Monday, March 16 through Friday, April 10. We anticipate school resuming on April 13.
-Lake Ridge Schools in Gary will be closed due to coronavirus concerns from Monday, March 16 through Friday, April 10.

Diocese Of Gary School – Closed till April 3 Offices will remain open. People are encouraged to use the phone.
Jasper County:
-Kankakee Valley School Corporation will be closed starting Monday March 16th through the end of Spring Break.
-Rensselaer Central School Corporation will be beginning their spring break on Monday, March 16 and extending the break through Friday, April 3rd. The additional 9 days of break will be waiver days as allowed by Governor Holcomb.
Newton County:
-North Newton School Corporation has announced all schools will be closed from Saturday, March 14 through Sunday, April 5.
