Semi Crashes & Burns On Tollroad
Shortly after 9pm Monday a semi lost control on I-90 around mile marker 34 Westbound. The semi knocked out about 25 feet of guardrail and losing its front axle before sliding 50ft and catching fire according to an eyewitness. The driver crawled out of his burning truck as first responders and RNS arrived on scene. The driver was conscious and transported to a local hospital by paramedics. Fire Departments from Liberty, Westville, Chesterton, and Porter EMS assisted at the scene. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation and we will have further updates in the morning hours.
