Sheriffs Department Executes Search Warrant In St. John
On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, the Lake County Drug Task Force and Lake County Sheriff’s Department SWAT team executed a narcotics search warrant at a home in the 10400 block of Siedelmann Court in St. John, Indiana. The search warrant resulted from an investigation into the sale of cocaine, according to Lake County Sheriff Oscar Martinez Jr.
48-year-old Ricky Biggs, of the above address, was arrested and may face multiple charges related to possession and dealing of narcotic drugs, Martinez stated.
When the SWAT team made entry into the home, SWAT officers located Biggs in the basement bathroom flushing suspected evidence down the toilet.
While executing the search warrant, officers confiscated 120 suspected ecstasy pills, approximately 8.5 pounds of marijuana and 2 handguns.
Back in 2012, Biggs was sentenced to 6.5 years in prison for possessing more than 5 grams of cocaine with the intent to distribute it. He was also accused of dealing large quantities of cocaine out of his Gary business, Martinez said.
