Snow For North Lake County, Ice For The South
Our impactful winter storm remains on track, with snow developing later this afternoon and evening, according to NWS Chicago. Icing becomes a problem south of I-80, with mainly snow to the north. There will be a steep gradient and snow cut off across Lake County. Areas far North will see the snow and areas to the South county will see a mix and ice.
