State Police Investigating Expressway Shooting
The Indiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division Lowell Post is investigating an interstate shooting that occurred Saturday evening on I-80/94.
Preliminary investigation shows that at approximately 5:15 PM, a crash occurred on I-80/94 near Burr St., according to Sgt. Glen Fifield. The investigation shows that the driver of a 2009 Ford Escape was struck by gunfire and as a result, crashed the vehicle into the median wall. The driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
