State Police Pursue Vehicle Ending In A Crash
Indiana State Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a van Tuesday night around 10:25PM for a traffic infraction, according to Commander Becker of The Indiana State Police.
Troopers were Southbound on I-65 at the 250 mile marker when the van refused to stop and a pursuit was initiated that stretched through Crown Point on Northbound Broadway. The fleeing van struck another vehicle at 93rd & Broadway intersection around 10:34PM bringing the van to a stop. Crown Point Fire & Merrillville Fire were dispatched out to check on the occupants in the struck vehicle. Their injuries are presumed to be minor at this time.
Two subjects were arrested after the accident for numerous warrants and charges including fleeing. Police also found crack, pills, marijuana, and paraphernalia on the subjects.
