Sunday’s Death Investigation Ruled A Homicide In Valparaiso
On Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 9:23 PM, the Porter County Coroner’s Office was dispatched to the 250 block of Michigan Ave in Valparaiso in response to a deceased male, identified as 42-year-old Michael Overton.
Preliminary autopsy results show cause of death being multiple blunt force trauma to the head, and manner of death is ruled as a homicide. Toxicology is pending.
The investigation surrounding the death is still ongoing according to officials. Valparaiso Police Department is investigating.
