Suspect In Custody After Man Stabbed In Schererville Sunday Morning
On Sunday, 8/8/2021 at approximately 2:41 AM Schererville Officers were dispatched to Joliet St & Junction Ave in regards to the report of a male subject that had just been stabbed, according to Schererville Police Commander Kevin Wagner.
Upon arrival officers located a male subject that had been stabbed multiple times who was transported to a local hospital by the Schererville Fire Department.
Officers were advised that there was a physical fight between two males and that the suspect had fled the scene on foot westbound from this location. A Schererville Police K-9 was able to track and locate the suspect hiding underneath a vehicle down the street from where the incident happened, Wagner stated. The suspect was taken into custody.
Anthony Frank Philip Miller, 25 years old from St John was charged with a Level 5 Felony for Battery With A Deadly Weapon and a Level 5 Felony for Battery With A Deadly Weapon.
