Suspect Killed By Gary Police Identified
The Lake County Coroner has identified the suspect that injured two Gary Police Officers and the possible Merrillville Homicide suspect as Keenan McCain, 29, of Merrillville. McCain barricaded himself in an Apartment on the 2400 block of Waverly in Gary Monday afternoon around 1pm. Police Swat team went in around 4:20pm after negotiations failed and shots were exchanged when McCain was eventually terminated after hitting two veteran Gary Officers. Merrillville Police have a press conference scheduled for this morning and we will have more updates on the Hampton Inn Homicide Investigation.
