Technical Water Rescue Ongoing At Dairy Farm
At approximately 8:42 AM, Monday morning (11/14) the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a subject that had slid down into a lagoon located at the Windy Ridge Dairy (1652 N. County Rd. 1100 W.), according to Chief Deputy Jason Wallace. The subject was operating a piece of farm equipment at the time of the incident and the subject has not been seen since, Wallace said.
Several different counties are assisting with Emergency Service personnel who are on scene attempting to locate the subject including the District 1 Technical Rescue Team. Windy Ridge Dairy personnel are in the process of draining the lagoon to assist in this matter as well.
This is a current and on-going incident and more information will be made available as time permits, Wallace said at 11:30 AM.
