Texas Man Facing Felony Sexual Battery Charge In Porter County

A 25-year-old Texas man is facing a felony sexual battery charge after Portage police say he restrained and touched a female relative without her consent during an incident last month.

David Muhammad, 25, of Tomball, Texas, was charged February 9 in Porter County with sexual battery stemming from a January 18 incident reported in Portage.

According to court documents, the female victim reported Muhammad held her down and manipulated his body to restrict her movement. While she was restrained, she told police Muhammad placed his hand on the inner portion of her thigh near her vagina and told her to “just relax,” despite her repeatedly saying “no” and asking what he was doing.

The victim reported she felt violated and very uncomfortable and experienced pain during the incident due to how Muhammad was holding her down, though she did not report lasting injuries or marks.

Police later contacted Muhammad by phone on a recorded line regarding the allegation, and officers reported he declined to discuss the incident and requested an attorney.

Court documents state the victim and Muhammad are cousins.

Lodged in the Porter County Jail on February 16,2026.

Charge filed February 9,2026:
