Three Elderly Individuals Found Deceased After Welfare Check In La Porte County
Detectives from the La Porte Criminal Investigations Division are investigating the circumstances of three adults found deceased inside a residence located in the 5600 west block of CR 250 North. A welfare check was done Sunday afternoon when the three individuals were discovered.
The early stages of the investigation have determined this was an isolated incident and there is / was no immediate public safety threat, officials stated in a release.
The La Porte County Coroner identified the deceased as Harriet Kowalski, 102, Leonard Ciastko, 75, and Linda Ciastko, 73. All had sustained a single gunshot wound to the head. Autopsies were done on all three subjects and final results will be completed when the investigation is closed.
