Two Shot At The Ramada Inn Early Sunday Morning
On August 9th, at approximately 1:55 a.m., Hammond police responded to the Ramada Inn located at 4141 Calumet Ave. in reference to shots fired, according to Lt. Steve Kellogg of The Hammond Police. Officers arrived and learned that a 20-year-old male had been shot four times and was transported by the Hammond Fire Department to a Chicago area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. A 21-year-old brother of that victim was also injured by either a graze wound or broken glass at the location, Kellogg stated. He was treated at Franciscan Hammond. The shooting occurred at the entrance under the drive up as well as the lobby. No suspects have been identified at this time and the incident is being investigated, police said.
