Unresponsive SkateBoarder With Trauma Found On Street – Police Seek Information
Liberty Township Firefighters, along with Porter County EMS and the Porter County Sheriff’s Department responded for a man-down in the area of Eagle Ridge Drive and Falcon Way in Liberty Township this afternoon at around 2:30 PM, according to Liberty Township Fire Officials. Bystanders in the area called 911 after finding a male subject in the roadway on the ground unresponsive for some time.
Deputies with the Porter County Sheriff’s Department arrived on scene and found a male subject on the ground who is believed to be skateboarding. CPR was initiated until Fire/EMS arrived on scene to take over care. Traumatic life-threatening injuries were noted on the subject during patient assessment. Aeromedical helicopters were initially called but were unable to fly. The patient was transported to a nearby hospital.
It is unknown what happened at this time and remains under investigation by the Porter County Sheriff’s Department.
