Update On Hobart Pastor & Wife And New Concerns For Daughter
Sunday morning is here and RNS reached out to Jeff Spencer to check on his wife and now himself. Jeff was admitted to the hospital earlier this week after being self quarantined at his home. Jeff developed a cough that was worsening and a nurse friend had recommended he head back to the hospital to get checked. Once he arrived he was admitted by the Infectious Disease Doctor at Community Hospital. Jeff told RNS Sunday morning he had taken the COVID -19 test but the results wouldn’t be in for a few more days. A problem among the entire country with testing and not being tested for the matter. Results and diagnosis are just talking to long along with the shortage of test kits as well make the actual numbers much lower then they appear. Jeff told us the doctors are thinking of releasing him today to go back to self quarantine since his breathing has been ok. The hospital told him unless he gets shortness of breath they want him to do home recovery to save on limited supplies and make room for other patients whose symptoms get worse like his wife.
Jeff’s wife currently is still in critical condition and no improvement was noted as of Sunday. Jeff said it’s more of decline then improvement to report. A new post by Jeff this morning also brought out new concerns and request for more prayers for his family as his daughter was on the way to hospital with a cough and shortness of breath. His daughter who is in her late 20’s is a new growing trend around the world of a younger crowd being affected by this. Original thinking had many young people with no conditions thinking this wouldn’t not effect them. Looking at her social media postings it showed she recently got back from a trip this week from the Las Vegas area. It’s unclear at this time when she was exposed or whether she may have picked anything up traveling or from family. Hopes at this time is it may just be a common cold. Jeff has asked everyone to continue to pray for them.
Jeff also told us he will be going LIVE on his Facebook page at 11am to give a Sunday morning service as well as update everyone on the situation.
