Valparaiso Man Charged in Porter County Child Solicitation Case

Andrew Guy Mullins, 28, of Valparaiso, is facing multiple felony charges following a child solicitation investigation.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Valparaiso police were notified of a child solicitation incident on December 24, 2025. Mullins was detained at a residence in Valparaiso and transported to the Valparaiso Police Department.

The affidavit states the reporting persons were members of Big Country Predator Exposure. Investigators reviewed online communications between Mullins and an individual he believed to be a 13-year-old child.

Court records state Mullins acknowledged he was aware of the age of the individual and continued communicating in a sexual nature through the Facebook Messenger application. The affidavit states the communications included sexually explicit conversations and images allegedly sent by Mullins, including images investigators observed and Mullins acknowledged sending.

According to court documents, Mullins and the individual he believed to be a juvenile arranged to meet at a residence on Marks Road in Valparaiso on December 24, 2025. Mullins arrived at the location, where he was confronted, detained, and later transported to the Valparaiso Police Department.

The affidavit states Mullins admitted he was there to meet the juvenile and acknowledged sending the messages and images while knowing the individual was 13 years old.

Court records state Mullins was interviewed after being advised of his rights and agreed to speak with investigators. According to the affidavit, Mullins stated during the interview that he had previously served three years in prison and had not been in a relationship with a woman.

The affidavit further states Mullins told investigators he brought fruity pebbles candy canes as a gift, after the individual he believed to be a juvenile indicated she enjoyed hard candy. Court documents state investigators confirmed the online conversations began on October 19, 2025.

According to the probable cause affidavit, as the interview concluded, Mullins stated, “Thank God you guys saved me from doing something. I would have felt like a total fucking creep with molestation on a child”

Lodged in the Porter County Jail.
