Valparaiso Police Conducting Death Investigation
On March 21, 2021 at 8:16 p.m., Valparaiso Police responded to the 250 block of Michigan Ave. regarding a death investigation, according to police.
While on scene, officers encountered Matthew Castro, 29, of Valparaiso. Castro was taken into custody on charges unrelated to the death investigation. Castro was transported to Porter County Jail on charges of Disorderly Conduct, Resting Law Enforcement, and Battery to Law Enforcement Causing Injury.
The death investigation remains open and ongoing at this time and no further information was released.
