Valpo Police Add New Officer
The Valparaiso Police Department has added a new officer with the swearing-in of Alexander Sprowl today. Mayor Matt Murphy performed the ceremony within the council chambers of City Hall. Chief Balon, numerous officers, family, and friends were in attendance for the ceremony.
Alexander is a 2014 New Palestine High School Graduate, as well as a 2019 Indiana University graduate, completing a Bachelor’s of Science de- gree in Social Work. Alexander is also an active U.S. Marine, attaining the rank of Corporal and Mortar Team Leader. Prior to his appointment, Alexander was completing his degree and honoring his military commitment.
