Victim Identified In Early Morning Shooting
Gary Police responded to 11th & Clark Rd at the GoLo Gas Station shortly after midnight Saturday morning for a person shot. When officers arrived they located two gun shot victims both in serious condition. A female was transported to a local trauma center and was undergoing surgery early Saturday according to sources but the male succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The Lake County Coroner has identified the male victim as Jose Gonzalez, 26, of Gary. The manner of death is still pending according to the Coroners Office.
Lake County Metro Homicide is handling the investigation and will have further information as the investigation continues.
