Woman Shot In Her Car On State Line Tuesday Night
A vehicle was struck by multiple rounds of gunfire Tuesday night shortly before 10PM on the 1400 block of State Line in Calumet City.
Multiple calls of shots fired from Hammond & Calumet City residents were received to 911 around 10PM in the area of Locust & State Line. On arrival to the area Police found a vehicle with multiple bullet holes in the drivers door and a 40 year old female from Calumet City laying on the ground shot in the leg. A passenger in her car was not struck. The victim was parked on State Line after going to get food with her daughter when a suspect began firing in the residential area. She was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
