18 Year Old Schererville Man Charged With Burglaries
On July 13th, 2021 at approximately 1:40AM the Schererville Police Department received a call in reference to a burglary in progress in the 0 block of Hawthorne Place after a resident woke up to a male in the residence, according to Schererville Police. Forced entry was located and the offender fled the scene prior to police arrival.
At approximately 4:10AM an attempted burglary was reported at a neighboring residence and the subject was once again able to elude officers during an extensive search. A suspect was developed by patrol and investigated by the Crime Reduction & Enforcement Unit, and on July 15th, 2021 Joseph A. Borollini 18 years of age of Schererville, Indiana was arrested and charged the next day by the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office with the following:
