Police Respond To Walmart For Man With Guns
The Valparaiso Police responded to Wal-Mart at 1:13p.m. today, located at 2400 Morthland Dr., in reference to the report of a male subject carrying a rifle when entering the store, according to Valparaiso Police.
Upon police arriving, the male was located and was cooperative with officers, and found to be carrying the weapon legally. The male also was also found to have additional weapons with him, in which he was allowed to legally own and carry on his person. The male maintained his cooperation and returned his weapons to his vehicle without incident. The incident was fully investigated by officers on scene and the male subject was soon released.
There are currently no charges pending against the subject and no active or known threat to the community regarding what has been reported. The Valparaiso Police thanked the community, Wal-Mart, and all those with concern about what was observed today for their continued assistance and cooperation.
