4 Year Old Shot In Head & Killed In Thornton
On Thursday April 2nd at approximately 8:41 pm, The Thornton Police responded to a residence on Blackhawk Dr. When officers arrived, they found a 4 year old child with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. The child was transported to Ingalls Hospital, but unfortunately was pronounced deceased at 9:15 pm, according to police. Thornton Police are working alongside members of the Illinois State Police and have begun an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
At this time, there are no suspects wanted in connection with the shooting. Police are still working on getting all the details of the incident, When more information becomes available police will have an update.
