Lynwood Man Shot In Attempted Robbery

On Thursday April 2nd Lynwood Police responded to the 200th block of Terrace for a victim shot, Deputy Chief Terrence Shubert stated. Officers arrived and located a 19 year old male shot in his abdomen in a basement. The victim told police he was walking out to his vehicle when two suspects approached him and demanded his property. Police say the victim denied having anything and the suspects promptly shot him before fleeing on foot. The victim was transported to Franciscan Dyer for treatment and was later airlifted to The University of Chicago.

  1. It’s a shame what has happened to Lynwood. I lived there from 1972-2014, raised my family and still have friends there. Never worried about the kids because we looked out for each other. Prayers for a full recovery for this young man.
