Man Arrested For Attempted Murder In Merrillville
On April 4, 2021, at approximately 1:21 PM, Merrillville Police Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of W 86th Lane in reference to shot(s) being fired in a residence and as well as a subject sustaining a wound from a knife, according to Assistant Chief Kosta Nuses.
Upon arrival, officers located two subjects involved. One of the subjects, Kobe Williams, had sustained a wound from a knife and the other subject had various minor injuries that were treated on scene. Williams was transported to a local hospital for treatment from the scene, Nuses stated. After Williams was medically cleared from the hospital, he was taken into custody and transported to the Lake County Jail. After reviewing the case presented to the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office, the follows charges were accepted with Williams listed as the Defendant:
Count I – Attempted Murder
Count II – Criminal Confinement
Count III – Domestic Battery Resulting In Serious Bodily Injury
Count IV – Domestic Battery by Means of a Deadly Weapon
Count V – Intimidation
Count VI – Strangulation
Count VII – Pointing a Firearm
Count VIII – Intimidation
