Two Charged With First Degree Murder In Calumet City Shooting
On Friday morning February 21 at 1:55am Calumet City Police responded to Sibley and Clyde for a shot spotter alert of shots fired, according to Chief Fletcher of the Calumet City Police Department. While officers were enroute they learned of a possible gun shot victim inside a van that crashed near 1968 Sibley. Officers arrived to the van and they discovered two males with gun shot wounds, Fletcher said. Calumet City Fire Department responded to the scene and it was determined both victims were deceased. The victims were identified has 34 year old Terrell Quinn of Riverdale and 27 year old Christian Simmons of Chicago.
During the course of the investigation members of the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force and The Calumet City Police were able to identify the offenders of this incident. On February 23 the offenders were taken into custody in Chicago, Calumet City Police Chief Chris Fletcher said.
Dorian Cresswell, 26, of Chicago and Jarrell Longs, 24, of Chicago were charged with two counts of First Degree Murder.
