Highland Police Seek Video From Home Invasion
Around 4:47pm on Sunday May 3, 2020, an elderly female resident was sitting in her garage in the 3100 block of Glenwood in Highland when she observed a male white suspect (20’s to early 30’s, approx. 5’6”, balding with a goatee, wearing dark pants and a light colored shirt) enter the unlocked front door of her residence, Highland Police stated. The female homeowner went into the back door of her house to confront the suspect inside. She stated she then saw the suspect exiting her bedroom carrying her purse. The suspect then fled back out the front door towards a waiting dark colored four door (possibly a Ford).
The female resident ran out to try and confront the suspect as he was entering the vehicle but he pushed her away and he then drove off in the driver’s seat of the vehicle traveling west on Glenwood and then turned south on 5th Street. Upon further investigation, it was found that the suspect also removed some jewelry from the bedroom.
