Vehicle Struck By Gunfire On Cline Thursday Morning
On July 16, 2020 at approximately 8:17AM an officer was dispatched to Cline Ave. near Michigan St. in reference to shots fired, according to Lake County Sheriff Spokeswoman Pam Jones. The complainant informed dispatch that while he was traveling north on Cline Ave. near the Michigan St. exit, a single shot was fired from a purple van with a projectile striking his front windshield. No injuries were reported, Jones stated.
The complainant states the shot came from someone who brandished a handgun in a mid-2000s purple Chrysler or Nissan minivan, with a yellow Illinois temporary license plate. Anyone with information is asked to call The Lake County Sheriffs Department.
