Harvey Man Shot In Calumet City Shooting Monday
On Monday November 16, 2020 at approximately 9:40PM, Calumet City Police responded to the 300 block of Greenbay Avenue for a report of shots fired, according to Calumet City Police Chief Christopher Fletcher.
Officers arrived on scene and located a 36 year old male from Harvey, Illinois with an apparent gunshot wound. The male victim was transported to a local hospital by Calumet City EMS Personnel where he was later discharged after being treated for his injuries, Fletcher said. Close to 30 evidence markers marking shell casings could be seen on the street, a witness stated.
At this point, the investigation indicates that this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public. Calumet City Detectives are investigating and request anyone with information to call the Calumet City Police Department at 708-868-2500.
