Bishop Ford Expressway Shooting Update
Illinois State Police (ISP) officials are investigating a reported shooting on Sunday, March 8th, 2020 at approximately 11:00 p.m., on I-94 northbound at 159th Street
ISP officers responded to this location and discovered an abandoned vehicle, which had been reported being involved in the expressway shooting. The abandoned vehicle had also been involved in a minor property damage traffic crash at the same location. ISP was later notified four males with non-life threatening injuries resulting from apparent gunshot wounds admitted themselves in a local area hospital. There is speculation the four males were possibly involved in the same shooting.
All lanes were shut down I-94 northbound at 159th for investigation at 1:30 a.m., for investigation and reopened at 2:30 a.m. The incident remains under investigation and additional updates will be released as they become available
