Calumet City Man Shot After Dispute Succumbed To Injuries
Around 9:30AM Monday, Calumet City Police and EMS Personnel responded to the area of Dawn Lane and Timothy Lane for a report of a gunshot victim, according to Calumet City Police.
Officers arrived to find a male with apparent gunshot wounds. Personnel began administering life-saving measures on scene and he was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as 41 year old, Virgil Anderson.
The investigation revealed that the offender and victim were known to each other and the incident was the result of an earlier dispute, police told RNS. Shortly after arriving on scene, officers located a person of interest in this incident and the investigation remains ongoing.
