Charges Filed In Double Shooting In EC But Suspect Is At Large
This afternoon Detective Carina Acevedo of The East Chicago Police filed criminal charges at the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office against Pierre A. Ford of Chicago, Illnois. The charges stem from the double shooting that occurred on July 18, 2020 on the 3700 block of Parrish Avenue. Pierre Ford was charged with the following:
1 count: Unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon (level 4 felony).
2 counts: Battery by means of a deadly weapon (level 5 felony)
2 counts: Criminal Recklessness (level 6 felony)
1 count: Criminal Recklessness (level 5 felony)
1 count: Carrying a handgun without a license (level 5 felony)
Pierre Ford is currently at large and an arrest warrant has been issued for his arrest.
