Charges Filed In Dyer Stabbing Against Grandson
Charges have been filed against a 22-year-old man in the stabbing of his grandmother and grandfather January 28, 2020. Nicholas Powers, of unincorporated Dyer faces two counts of attempted murder and several other charges in the case.
“It’s alleged that this young man repeatedly stabbed his grandparents with a knife at the home the three shared in the 8500 block of Towle Street,” said Sheriff Oscar Martinez Jr., “The grandmother is hospitalized in serious condition and will need surgery to repair an extensive wound to one of her arms. The grandfather remains in critical condition at a Chicago Hospital.
