Chicago Ford Plant Employee’s Test Positive For COVID-19 Two Others Diagnosed
The Chicago Ford Assembly Plant located in Hegewisch on 130th & Torrence has released a statement to employees this week alerting them to two employees who have tested positive for COVID-19 and two others “Clinically Diagnosed” with it, which means they are presumed to have it but aren’t being tested.
Ford states, one employee is hourly and the other is salary that tested positive. Ford has alerted anyone that may have been contact with these employees and they are now self quarantined. Ford says they are not planning on reopening on the original scheduled date of March 30 now. Ford has been shut down since multiple Lear Corporation employees tested positive at the Hammond location.
