Crown Point Man Injured In Motorcycle Crash Tuesday
Tuesday evening Crown Point Police & Fire were dispatched to a crash involving a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle near Indiana & North St, according to Crown Point Police Chief Peter Land.
A preliminarily investigation showed the motorcycle was traveling north on Indiana while attempting to continue thru the intersection at North Street. The other driver, who was driving south, attempted to make a lefthand turn onto North St., directly in the path of the motorcycle, Land stated. The traffic signal was green for north/south traffic, Land added.
The motorcycle driver is a 24 year male from Crown Point, he sustained serious injuries to his leg, arm and head. The other driver a 75 year old DeMotte man, and his occupant, were not injured.
Crown Point Police Crash Reconstruction Team is handling the investigation and is still at the scene as of 9:30 PM.
