Dollar General Robbery Suspect Charged

Hammond Police charged 32-year-old Carlton Robinson from Gary with the January 10th robbery of the Dollar General in the 2600 block of 169th St, Lt. Steve Kellogg of the Hammond Police announced Wednesday night.

Robinson was charged Wednesday with armed robbery for commuting the robbery while displaying a knife. He was also charged with possession of cocaine, and possession of marijuana, Kellogg stated. He is in custody at the Lake County Sheriff’s Department. 

Detectives would like to thank HPD K9 Officer T. Schultz for locating and apprehending the suspect.
