Dyer Gas Station Robbed Followed By A Carjacking Thanksgiving
On Thursday, November 23, 2023 around 6 AM, Dyer Police responded to a robbery at the Exxon Gas Station located at 501 Joliet St.
A witness told RNS, 3 men wearing masks, in a sedan, robbed the gas station in the early morning hours on Thanksgiving. During the getaway one of the men carjacked an elderly male in the parking lot. At this point we have not been made aware of any injuries.
Dyer Police did not respond to our inquires on this incident.
Sources in Illinois told RNS, the 3 men were caught a short time later after the robbery in Riverdale, IL. Both vehicles used were also recovered. No other information was available.
