Dyer Police Seek Identity Of Two Subjects
On March 4, 2022, two subjects attempted to enter Anytime Fitness (262 W 81st Avenue) in Dyer, according to Dyer Police. Upon realizing the entry door was locked, one of the subjects (suspect #1) waited near the door until a member entered the business using their key fob. Suspect #1 followed the gym member inside. Once inside, suspect #1 gathered 16 items off of the merchandise shelves totaling $572.00.
Suspect #1 wrote down “payment information” which included, what appears to be, two fraudulent credit card numbers.
After gathering the items, the suspect appeared to be messaging someone on his phone while standing near the entry door. A short time later, a second subject, suspect # 2 approached the door. Suspect #1 opened the door and handed suspect # 2 the merchandise. Both subjects left the area after exiting the business with the merchandise.
At this time the suspect’s respective direction of travel as well as the suspect(s) vehicle(s) are unknown, police said.
