Fatal Crash In Merrillville Tuesday Morning
On Tuesday 07/13/2021 at approximately 3:45 a.m., Merrillville Police officers responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 6900 block of Van Buren Place, according to Assistant Chief Kosta Nuses.
Upon arrival, officers located a black SUV that was involved. A witness to the aftermath stated the driver struck a parked vehicle and then a tree. The driver of the SUV had succumbed to injuries suffered from the impact, Nuses told RNS. The crash is still currently under investigation on the circumstances leading to this incident.
