Four Shot Two Dead After Hammond Shooting
On July 4th, at approximately 12:30 AM, Hammond police, while in a nearby traffic stop, heard shots fired in the area of the 5900 block of Wallace Rd, according to Lt. Steve Kellogg of The Hammond Police.
Officers immediately responded and located numerous shell casings and determined that four subjects had been shot. Two of the subjects have succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. Two more victims suffered wounds and are in stable condition, Kellogg stated.
The Lake County Coroner has identified the victims as Larry Brown Jr., 20, of Chicago and Blake Blakemore, 26, of Gary.
