A fake social media profile is not uncommon now days on social media platforms, however when it involves impersonating Police it takes on a whole new level. Tuesday The Gary Police announced that someone has cloned their page and has been making inappropriate comments. They’ve misspelled the word “Department” in the Facebook profile which is a tall tale sign of something may be wrong. The Gary Police use the utmost professionalism with their social media presence and they would never engage in inappropriate conversation. The page has been reported as fake and is awaiting the platform to remove it, Police said.
