Hammond Continues To Search For Missing Boy
Hammond police are still in search of 12-year-old Kyrin Carter. Kyrin is autistic and went missing Saturday at approximately 12:30 p.m. from the Best Western located in the 3800 block of 179th st. in Hammond. He and his family are in town from Kansas City, Missouri to visit family. Police have utilized every resource including K9’s, drones, helicopters, ATV’s, and ground & water crews.
Crews have more than 80 emergency personnel and civilians searching the area right now. Kyrin is a black male and was last seen wearing a light blue shirt, black shorts with a blue stripe, and had no shoes on. If you spot him, do not approach him. Maintain visual contact with him and call 911 immediately.
Police will continue the search until all options have been exhausted.
