Hammond Fire Department Responds To Popeyes Fire Friday
On Friday, January 5, 2024 Hammond Fire Department responded to a working structure fire at Popeyes Chicken located at 6700 Indianapolis Blvd.
The fire was initially called in by a passerby around 7:05 AM who saw smokei coming from the building. On arrival crews were met with heavy smoke coming from inside. At the time there was nobody in the business. There were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Hammond Fire Department.
