Merrillville Man Charged With Child Exploitation Charges
In August of 2022 Indiana State Police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children concerning a child pornography image being shared via an Instagram account, according to court documents.
After tracking the social media account by IP address and obtaining warrants for the associated accounts, Indiana State Police were able to secure charges against a Merrillville man now identified as Peter Allen, 27-years-old.
Peter Allen was charged through the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office with the following:
Child Exploitation –
Level 5 Felony
Possession Of Child Pornography –
Level 6 Felony
