Hammond Home Invasion Suspect In Custody
On February 10th, Hammond Police Department Detectives, along with Gang unit officers, and Agents from the ATF, have taken into custody the prime target believed to be connected with the home invasion which occurred on December 31st, 2019 in the 6600 block of California Ave, according to Lt. Steve Kellogg of the Hammond Police Department.
The investigators are further looking into this subject’s possible involvement in recent incidents in the 6400 block of Tennessee and 2200 block of 167th St, along with numerous other crimes in Hammond and Lake County. The 24-year-old male subject remains in custody at the Hammond Police Department and charges are anticipated to be filed Wednesday morning with the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office, Kellogg said. Hammond will release further information, including the identity of the subject, at that time.
