Hammond Man Shot In Car Early Thursday Morning

On Thursday, December 3rd, at approximately 1:40 a.m., Hammond police were dispatched to the 4100 block of Wabash Avenue in reference to a shooting, according to Lt. Steve Kellogg of The Hammond Police. Upon arrival, officers located a 24-year-old male from Hammond seated in the driver’s seat of a vehicle which had been shot.

The victim sustained gunshot wounds to his arm, chest, and head, Kellogg stated. The Hammond Fire Department transported the male in critical condition to a local hospital. He was later flown to a Chicago hospital and is currently in stable condition.
